Next steps for Community Consultation
- There will be a public exhibition of the planning proposal later this year (November – December), accompanied by information sessions run by Council staff
- Residents will be notified by Council by mail of the dates and details
- Residents will be invited to make submissions about the planning proposal
- There will be scope to lobby your local Councillors about your concerns
- IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT WE ALL PARTICIPATE IN THE COMMUNITY CONSULTATION VIA WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS
- The working group will assist residents with their submissions
- Concerned residents are welcome to join the working group
- The more well-argued responses there are, the better chance we have to SAVE OUR HOMES AND THE URBAN FOREST
- Planning staff will report to Council after the exhibition and after reviewing submissions and make a recommendation. Council will then decide on its submission to the NSW Department of Planning which is the FINAL decision-maker
